You know, Prowl said something that is darn right about the Wonderbolts: Soarin aside, they’re pretty bad. And the fact that the best ones other than Soarin are the newcomers (Rainbow Dash and Thunderlane) or the cadets (Vaportrail and Sky Stinger) says a lot…. which is yet another good reason of why an episode of RD becoming the new leader, with the new team composed by those three and other two would have been so much better than 2,4,6,Greeeat…. seriously why instead of doing that crap they didn’t make an episode like that?

So yeah… even thought I still think that the drama is overexagerrated, I will concede the fact that the episode could have been discarded for something much better.

No offense, but isn’t that a bit eccessive, considering you loved all his other works, shouldn’t the good outweigh the bad?
That’s like no longer watching Looney Tunes, or all future WB cartoons, just because there was one 8-minute short you didn’t like. (Therefore missing out on good Batman cartoons, and such.)
Plus, you might miss out on McCracken’s future good stuff. I mean, just one thing making you wanna give up on everything, despite loving everything else they did is a bit… much. It’s like those people who gave up on MLP:FiM just because they didn’t like the so-called “big reveal” that Twilight suddenly has a brother, like it was impossible to comprehend, or accept. (Heck, Scootaloo didn’t have a family ’till recently.)

I lost my trust in McCracken afterward, and I’m not gonna support his future works after that bad stab in the heart.

Even so, that was the last parody episode the show was gonna get (althought, it’s opportune to precise that the show was supposed to get a S3 but got cancelled for bad ratings), and as such it was very hard for me to stand. You have a point about that thought. Incidentally the episode that came right after that one, The Flower, was one of the best pieces of animation in TV shows ever. But despite that, I really get very mad when I think about The Robomechabotatron, and the frustrating disappointment that episode was (not to mention: McCracken overhyped it like if it was something epic, and then it turned out to be hot garbage). Parody episodes were my favorites in WOY, and that one was a very bad stab in the heart for me.

In any case, my point to what I said to Prowl still stands. He mostly cares for Rainbow Dash, and writers weren’t really Clement to her since S2 (….. for the 50% at least. I mean she still got several great episodes, but for every great ep she got, there also was a garbage one), and her most important episode Newbie Dash, turned out to be hot garbage. Not to mention they made another bad episode with a bad plot (with also continuity descrepancy) in the last season (it’s not the last RD episode as episode 21 will be focused on her and Fluttershy, but they could have discarded 2,4,6,Greeeat for something more important).
I am disappointed in the handling of RD myself, but my primary focus is on the Mane 6 as group, which is why I’m hyped for the finale. Rainbow Dash was Prowl’s idol, and she was his primary focus, and writers weren’t kind on her, so I can’t blame him for deciding to quit the show before the ending.

I wasn’t too bothered by RD’s episodes honestly, not even hated ones like “Mare Do-well.” (The first controversial episode of the series.) And I don’t understand fans whom watch the show for just one character, is kinda a shame, as you should enjoy the whole cookie, not just one chocolate chip. I rather enjoy all the Mane 6.
I’m glad I stuck with the show, even when it went directions I didn’t care for, because otherwise I would’ve missed many great episodes I love.

To be fair, the episode as whole was total garbage, even that part. Basically what was supposed RD’s most important episode, ended up being a torture porn episode for her. Not at the levels of the Squidward’s ones, but still really bad.

Like I said, I thought the episode was crap, a waste of what was supposed to be a highlight to RD and her character arc, but that scene where she was impersonating her friends I thought was so bad is good.

Heck, they just revealed the title of the one that is supposed to be the episode in which Big Mac proposes to Sugar Belle…. I kinda wish The Washouts was swapped with one of the fillers of S9. Now THAT is a great Rainbow Dash episode…

Oh right. Also, his next project, Kid Cosmic, seems to be oriented to the direction of that crappy episode. The Robomechabotatron was a giant robot fight episode without the fight? Kid Cosmic is a show about an idiotic kid who gets superpowers and decidea to be a super hero…. but he’s really bad at it.
I don’t see why I should give a chance to a concept like this to begin with. It seems like Robomechabotatron extended to an entire show instead of a single episode. If that’s the case, then McCracken is officially dead to me.
