I think I’ll do a quick rant. I apologize to you guys, but this is bothering me:
 
I find it annoying that people complained that the Empire returns after Return of the Jedi when it happens in the comic/book, only worst since Sidous survived using Dark Side BS. That makes their victory much more empty than the organization returning. And yes, they may have been a difference in time, but it’s still close enough that if you hate the Empire’s return in the movies, than you should hate their return in the Legend canon, because it’s worst.

Seeing as Leia was meant to be a big part of the next movie if Fisher didn’t die, Luke died saving everyone, and Han died trying to save his son, I think you’re overacting, like how the Legend had the Skywalker family killing each other isn’t a big deal in in that canon, just when it’s done in the movie. Also, if you stick to the same main characters for too long, they grow stale and boring. At least passing on the torch gives old series new breath and allows growth.

On the topic of passing the torch, while most of us would be glad to see Luke and Han kicking all kinds of ass in the movies, we have to be realistic. Mark and Harrison are old, I don’t think they’d be able to pull of great action scenes without an abundance of CG

The Force would be around if they removed 95% of the natural stuff. You can even remove breeding like the Biths and still use the Force, just as long as you were organic enough.

Well it’s not just the First Order being a resurgent of the Empire it’s also that it’s a being fought by a rag-tag group of underdogs.  
It’s that the new trilogy just bends itself backwards to try and make it a Rebellion vs an Empire again.  
The New Republic that was the whole thing they fought to bring back is just destroyed as an afterthought really.  
The New Jedi Order Luke was suppose to build after ROTJ failed miserably.  
All because those were things in the Prequels and people didn’t like those so the NT was terrified to any resemblance to the prequels so they just hit a reboot button to turn it back to Imps v Rebs.

Kind of like why Doug Walker (the Nostalgia Critic) said that he was partly glad that there wasn’t a third Ghostbusters movie, since age caught up to the actors that he loved, and knew that it would be painful seeing them trying to play the part at their age.

One or two would have been enought, just to mentor a new generation, just to have some continuity. Not just reboot the old one, like the old never existed.

Still don’t see why people say they act like “the old one ever existed.” Plus, did we need Anakin and Obi-Wan to introduced us to Luke, Leia and Han?

Ben was just the mentor trope before the prequels, and he just led Luke to a bar to find a pilot.

All you need to be is a living creature and the Force applies to you (unless you’re a Rakata), no nature required. Seriously, if nature was required, than Coruscant would be a dead-zone.

I actually thought this would link to this one Jedi, who transfered his consciousness into a droid, and only appeared in the novel Children of the Jedi. Or Q5, who for some reason was force sensitive. Or the droid from the Clone Wars, Huyong, which taught junglings how to built their Lightsabers.  
But this one from the Tales comics, I was’t aware, since those are some of the few things Star Wars related I didn’t read.
 
So technically there are at least 3 droids which could be classified as Jedi.  
5 if we count Q5 and PROXY.
 
Edit : oh, wait, after reading the article this seems familiar, definitely heard about the story about R5, the droid with the busted motivator. Thought this story isn’t canon in any way.

So you don’t need to be organic to use the Force. The Force uses flesh and machine, not a part of nature, or a nature that cares of the material of its soil.

It was a story in the Legend universe, so there’s nothing stopping it from being canon in that universe.
