Firstly, they didn’t make the transphobic comment to begin with.

They made a tweet stating that they were looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy, which is questionable on it’s own, but not really anything too gross. Then people started digging, and found that they were following multiple alt-right accounts on Twitter, including Libs of Tik-Tok (one of the biggest pieces of shit I’ve ever seen in my life).

Unfortunately, the individual restricted their account after said event happened, and anyone who posted proof of them following Libs of Tik-Tok also had to restrict their accounts due to harassment from the alt-right dickheads, so I can’t exactly get a hold of any screenshots.

No it isn’t. It’s fearmongering, claiming that trans folks who want to use the bathroom assigned to the gender that they identify as are just creeps who want to spy on naked men/women. That’s disgusting on multiple levels.

And I said it was questionable only because I’ve seen multiple people openly state that they’re buying the game just to spite the folks who hate J.K. Rowling.

I don’t give a shit about Rowling, I’m a Harry Potter fan despite anything she said. I’m excited for it because it’s a Harry Potter RPG. I am sick of people demonizing others for looking forward to a video game, which is probably why a lot of people are buying it out of “spite”.

Which is why I’m personally not gonna bother with convincing people to boycott the game. I understand that there are people out there who still love the franchise in spite of the shit that Rowling spews out of her mouth (or just aren’t aware of it), and I don’t want to ruin their fun. I’m personally boycotting it, but that doesn’t mean you have to.

I don’t have any issues with people wanting to buy the game despite how I and many others feel about JK. However people saying they are only going to buy the game just to spite the people against JK just feels really dumb.
