It would be detrimental to North Korea if they attack the USA. North Korea has SEZs (special economic zones) where foreign businesses can thrive with income and tariff incentives and a protectionist tariff policy, which are measures that tell of an economy without self-sufficiency, further made apparent with the Arduous March/North Korean Famine of 1994-1998 and the UN sanctions, so for North Korea to start a war would be self-destructive because the foreign companies, who are usually from China who do not want to sour their relations with the UN because China has SEZs for other UN foreign businesses, will abandon them and the country will be economically isolated from the UN by order of sanctions by the UN, which will cause another Arduous March because a lack of food is still a huge problem in North Korea in which they will have to abandon their military-first funding and fund programs for supplying food to keep their citizens alive for drafting them into the war, but because the military funding has been abandoned, North Korea will eventually run out of ammunition and other military supplies, supposing the war goes on for a long enough time to exhaust their weapons, and if they win, then regardless of whether they used nuclear weapons, their economy will collapse, a long Arduous March will happen, and a lot of the world will be destroyed, demanding costly repairs that the non-self-sufficient economy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea cannot pay, crashing as the country succumbs to deprivation.
