Unpopular opinion time (super alpha no pony edition)

I (and the shipper in me) don’t like when people say “not every character needs a love interest” or “romance isn’t everything” or “romance doesn’t need to be in everything”.

And also, side characters doesn’t need to be lonely or unshippable just because they’re side characters.

Even though Twitter is falling, I have zero interest in Hive.

Is it really unpopular to say violent behavior is a perfectly normal human trait? I mean nearly all of us are here because at least one of our ancestors used violence to ensure our bloodline wasn’t extinct.

Violence is animal behavior, and shouldn’t be normalized. Sins of the past isn’t an excuse to be a violence asshole. And yes, there is a difference between seeking violence and using violence to defend yourself. And no, killing someone just because they have different views than you isn’t self-defense.

By that logic so should every other primate including monkeys, gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans and the like. We aren’t exactly different from them, behaviorally and genetically speaking.

That’s less of an opinion and more a straight up fact cause we all have violent tendencies, it is a method of survival after all. Why do you think the earliest civilizations managed to pop up and survive? They hunted for food and defended themselves from foreign invaders because it was a survival method. Nowadays as we learned to better understand how human psychology works, we now have the option to not do violence and deal things in a less bloody way, it just depends on what method you think is better.

As a devout cynic and having watched too many true crime videos, I have to admit humans really are violent, and more messed up than actual animals.

Since when did humans eat the fetus of others to insert our own into the mother, or paralysis someone so our young can eat them alive when they are born? Nature is more fucked up than humans ever could be. The only difference is that humans can think about their actions.
