Of course that was a trick question, because you can’t tell which one is worse because they seem to one up each other.

Republicans opened this door when they gave corporations leverage power and blanketly assumed that theyd always be in their corner.

Here’s the thing, though: there’s always an outrage mob.
“Black lives matter”? WHARRGARBL!
“Blue lives matter”? WHARRGARBL!
“All lives matter”? WHARRGARBL!
“No lives matter”? WHARRGARBL!
No matter what stance you take nowadays, even if you refuse to take a stance, you’re pissing someone off and “bending the knee” to someone else. For big multinational corporations, who normally avoid controversy like it’s a labor union, this totally sucks. So they end up having to take the least controversial stance–that is, the one that pisses the fewest people off and therefore “bends the knee” to the largest mob.
Sadly, the right can’t gerrymander its mobs to be any bigger.

Yea, Mitch McConnell going “shut up or we’ll punish you” is literally the antithesis to free speech of these companies and their c-suite.
But you won’t hear the “righteous” Free Speech Brigade make a peep because it’s an abridgemnt of rights that they approve of.
A government official is literally threatening to abridge the speech of an entire corporation’s leadership, and enforce punitive measures on the company for their actions in the free market, but sure let these idiots go on about how Twitter is oppressing them by banning Nazis.

I am a part of the so called “free speech brigade” and any politician who is telling a private person, company, or orgqnization to shut up or else is bad. Everyone I know agrees and says the same thing.

Here’s something I don’t understand. Why do we say someone is black when it looks more like dark brown, but a white person is almost peach color?

Neo colonialism:The single best example of neo colonialism is the Bhopal disaster. It’s honestly horrifying.Union Carbide, an American conglomerate, set up a plant for processing pesticides in the impoverished city of Bhopal in India. Due to a lack of sales, they cut back vast numbers of qualified staff in favour of unqualified locals, stopped paying for maintenance or making checks, and gradually dismissed all safety procedures in order to maximise profit. It was an accident waiting to happen.Union Carbide knew this and ignored it. One evening, a storage tank overflowed and an invisible cloud of toxic denser-than-air gas spread across the city, filling the lungs of anyone asleep on the ground floor and asphyxiating them. Thousands of people woke up suddenly unable to breathe and just died in their beds. There have been some claims of over sixteen thousand deaths. Union Carbide immediately flew all of its American employees out of India and hid them behind the US government. They avoided taking responsibility for years.Honestly I am not surprised we haven’t had a Chernobyl-style series on this disaster. Hollywood just doesn’t seem to care if it happens to brown or black people.

Still, neocolonialism goes deeper than that. Just a week ago, France dronestriked a wedding in Mali, killing 19 people.Neocolonialism entails:
“Forcing African countries to pay France a colonial debt for having the ‘privilege’ of being ‘developed’ by a ‘civilizing’ power.France’s continued stranglehold on her French neocolonies is of course enforced by French troops deployed throughout its neocolonies. France is also not above assassinating or couping any African leader who refuses to become a bootlicking comprador sellout, Sankara being just one of many examples. And this isn’t even getting into how the IMF/WB fucks with Africa’s ability to feed itself, forcing Africans to export cash crops at bargain prices and buy food aid with that money instead of just growing domestic food. Growing monocultures of cash crops destroys the soil as well. This is where the “starving African child” comes from. It has nothing to do with Africa as a whole being too underdeveloped or being unsuitable to grow crops or being a distribution problem. It’s literally them being forced by neoliberal financial organizations to not grow enough food. This is the essence of colonialism in general. It’s about forming a self-serving relationship of parasitism between the colony and the metropole. If you control the neocolony’s financial reserves, if you have military bases in their country, if you literally control their ability to grow fucking food, then you completely dominate their country.

Apparently the Biden administration has admitted they were BSing when they were talking about the big infrastructure plan would create 19 million jobs, it is actually expected to create 2.7 million jobs. With how screwed up and difficult it is for any major infrastructure projects to get done (just look at HSR in California) I can’t help but wonder how inefficient this will be. It would be nice for politicians to sit back and work out how we can better implement theae projects so money doesn’t get wasted and big plans don’t get tied up for years in environmental reports or NIMBY locals finding as many things to exploit as they can.

There was a survey done of those who participated in the capital riots, and those who supported it.
They found something rather interesting. A pervading fear of the oft cited right-wing theory of “the great replacement”. A concept that the rights of non-whites come at the expense of white people.

Because brown and peach are not diametrically opposed to each other. It does not cause a direct contrast, and lacks emotion.
Saying the word black and white already has more emotion than brown and peach. We’re drawn towards contrasting values, so black and white works best. You could, start insisting on brown and peach. Maybe it’ll catch on and it becomes a thing who knows.
But sometimes, you DO have nearly black, obsidian skin. Miss South Sudan and basically the Dinka tribe from that area (south sudan) comes to mind.
