Having a right to doesn’t mean they have the power to. Russian police can and do drop the hammer on anyone they catch saying something the goons at the top don’t like.

Context? Dude straight-up blames an environmentalist for causing a war in an area she’s (IIRC) never been to, and you think “context” is going to somehow justify that?

@Zincy
I mean, the very fact that we’re discussing Russian troop movements on a My Little Pony imageboard doesn’t bode well for them. Because if we know where they are, the nice people with the Javelins certainly know where they are.
It’s not like you can really hide a 40-mile traffic jam.

Another example of Ukrainians having balls of titanium It’s not known if he moved it from a road or away from a house, but this guy picked up and moved an anti tank land mine.
To be fair, the average AT mine is designed to trigger from the weight of an armored vehicle and won’t even blink if a human steps on it. It’s the anti-personnel mines and boobytraps engineers sometimes lay to disrupt minesweeping efforts that pose the danger to a guy on foot.

Wang urged Washington to “reinstate a reasonable and pragmatic China policy” and work with China to put their relations on track. He reiterated China’s complaints that the U.S. was not upholding its commitments but didn’t mention any specific steps China would take.“China must decide where to stand and understand that bilateral relations with the U.S. will only become more strained in the absence of a clear choice to stand with international law,” said forum participant Jacob Lew, chair of the influential National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and a former U.S. treasury secretary.
“Meet me halfway,” says China while walking backwards.

Classic example of a guy who’s all hype and no substance buying into his own hype. Only difference is most folks who get overhyped that much don’t wield that level of political power.

So the building manager wants us to move our vehicles while snow’s being cleared. Fair enough, there’s usually at least one errand I can run during that time.
Problem is, the plow driver’s preferred approach is “show up while everyone’s asleep, bury their cars, and be gone before anyone can even get out the door”.

Bear in mind that this “robust” filter system is reliant on people actually tagging their shit; if you genuinely want to block out a topic, you need to block EVERY topic-related tag.

Like most bought-and-paid-for review sites, IGN wouldn’t know gaming if it fell on their heads. They’re simply taking advantage of an uninformed consumer base.

Canada does, in fact, have an official Constitution, but it’s written very different from the American one, and AFAIK is overruled by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms if the two conflict (they rarely do, as the Constitution mostly covers different ground than the Charter).
Note that said Charter lays out, multiple times, in no uncertain terms, that your rights END where someone else’s wellbeing begins. And the Freedumb Convoy has done a lot of trampling on people’s wellbeing lately.
While an official record is kept regarding amendments to both documents, discussions of Canadian law reference the current text of Charter or Constitution as the case may be. “Xth Amendment” callouts are no more a valid legal argument in Canada than the old “freeman-on-the-land” canard.

Kinda sad that humanity is capable of enough dumbshittery for us to make a 5000-plus page thread about it.

I played the official online for a while, but the moderation was hamfisted at best and it was near-impossible to get a game that wasn’t a curbstomp/ragequit/etc.

Doesn’t change the fact that YT’s upper-level staff complement needs a complete gut-and-rebuild, but that’s less “politics” and more “companies hiring executives that know nothing outside of being executives”.

I love dunking on Susan Wojcicki as much as the next person, but I wouldn’t trust a thing said on Bounding into Comics. It’s literally just Diet One Angry Gamer.
It IS completely in character for someone who thinks they can dictate people’s tastes to them by filling their recommendation feeds with garbage they don’t like to ask for that shit.

Dude. Again, take a look at the context. The query we’re talking about is one of several points where the game outright breaks the fourth wall to ask the player, not the avatar, what road they want to walk down. It’s most likely an overcorrection from the whole “Chrom marries a random girl” mess in Awakening, but the fact of the matter is there’s some blatant out-of-character “where are we taking this” discourse aimed directly at the person holding the controller rather than the quasi-self-insert they’re puppeteering, and you’re somehow managing to confuse it for in-character dialogue.

Which is a question directed at the player. Byleth is still learning to emote at all at that point, and could care less about romance until well after the timeskip.
Popular makeout spot or not, that conversation isn’t romantic in nature. You’re making mountains where moles don’t live, and quite frankly you sound like a crack shipper scraping for any possible excuse to call their shit canon, regardless of context.
