How long have you been on the internet to honestly believe that? 2 minutes?
It can ALWAYS get worse.

But most importantly it had CIWS. It was that system, and not countermissiles that some people considered impenetrable before the war.
Anyone who’s enough of an idiot to call a defense system impenetrable is, well, an idiot. CIWS is a particularly good example as it’s basically a high-tech version of the WW2-era AA paradigm: “throw lots of metal in the path of a fast-moving target and hope said target crashes into some of it”. The only real difference between then and now is that now the target is SO fast that it’s impressive they came up with a system that can even make the attempt.

If humanity gets charbroiled because some tinpot clown has a hissy fit, I reserve the right to say “this is all YOUR fault” to whatever divine power might exist out there.

On the latest Face Eating Leopards news, Ron DeSantis is threatening to take away Disney’s “self-governing privilege” after Disney (reluctantly) denounced his pet project of the Don’t Say Gay bill. This after it came to pass thanks in part to Disney’s funding.First, lol. Doth mine eyes deceive me, or is this Republican threatening to regulate a corporation?Second, do it coward. Let’s see who’s pair is bigger: some punk-ass governor high off his own farts or the House of Mouse.I don’t see a downside to this. Either one of the biggest corporations ever finally loses some power, or one the leading candidates for the 2024 Republican presidential nominations will have to spend weeks cowering on Hannity’s show to rehabilitate his image after Mickey Mouse open hand slaps him in front of the entire nation.

Suffice to say, the guy’s foot has a lot of holes in it.
More seriously, it’s not really going well for anyone. The Russians aren’t making a whole lot of headway, but they’re not getting kicked out either.

You know the GOP made a very bad tweet, when the Libertarian Party even dunks on it.
Granted, I’m no expert on slang. But I’m pretty sure the correct phrase for this is “Oh snap”.

At least one exit in Super Mario World is virtually impossible to get without Yoshi-jumping, so the game that introduced him was clearly designed with the intent of occasionally using him as a platform.

Having a right to doesn’t mean they have the power to. Russian police can and do drop the hammer on anyone they catch saying something the goons at the top don’t like.

Context? Dude straight-up blames an environmentalist for causing a war in an area she’s (IIRC) never been to, and you think “context” is going to somehow justify that?

@Zincy
I mean, the very fact that we’re discussing Russian troop movements on a My Little Pony imageboard doesn’t bode well for them. Because if we know where they are, the nice people with the Javelins certainly know where they are.

Another example of Ukrainians having balls of titanium It’s not known if he moved it from a road or away from a house, but this guy picked up and moved an anti tank land mine.
To be fair, the average AT mine is designed to trigger from the weight of an armored vehicle and won’t even blink if a human steps on it. It’s the anti-personnel mines and boobytraps engineers sometimes lay to disrupt minesweeping efforts that pose the danger to a guy on foot.

Wang urged Washington to “reinstate a reasonable and pragmatic China policy” and work with China to put their relations on track. He reiterated China’s complaints that the U.S. was not upholding its commitments but didn’t mention any specific steps China would take.“China must decide where to stand and understand that bilateral relations with the U.S. will only become more strained in the absence of a clear choice to stand with international law,” said forum participant Jacob Lew, chair of the influential National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and a former U.S. treasury secretary.
“Meet me halfway,” says China while walking backwards.

Classic example of a guy who’s all hype and no substance buying into his own hype. Only difference is most folks who get overhyped that much don’t wield that level of political power.

So the building manager wants us to move our vehicles while snow’s being cleared. Fair enough, there’s usually at least one errand I can run during that time.
Problem is, the plow driver’s preferred approach is “show up while everyone’s asleep, bury their cars, and be gone before anyone can even get out the door”.

Bear in mind that this “robust” filter system is reliant on people actually tagging their shit; if you genuinely want to block out a topic, you need to block EVERY topic-related tag.
